One doesn’t suddenly just be born a ‘gods’. During the night one just becomes a ‘god’. Whether the person is good or bad it doesn’t matter. Kataris believed that their god would bestow something of his power down to the ‘gods’. People looked on these ‘gods’ with awe and fear as they cast spells. It was the beginning of what some call magic. The ‘gods’ that possessed the powers of healing were called clerics while those that possess magic that could benefit battles were called wizards and sorcerers. It all died when a catastrophe happened to them. Their ‘gods’ suddenly turned to an ugly, sickish gray and all their godliness was stricken from them. Those that were servants and some others for these ‘gods’ revolted and killed off most of them and threw the rest down in the sewers below the city. It was a part of time known as the Shiluse. Terrified from what had happened, Kataris threw off ties of religion.
